Since Lindsey is a Sunbeam at church this year (the class for 3-4 year olds), she was invited to participate in the annual Primary Program. The theme for the year was, "I Know that My Savior Loves Me". She was very excited and practiced very hard to memorize her part. She stood very confidently and recited her part, "I can show love for my Savior by following the prophet".

Happy Birthday, Dad!
Tuesday, October 19, 2010
Dad didn't want a big party for his birthday, so we invited he and Mom over for dinner. Lindsey and I made dinner and cupcakes. It was a simple evening, just spending time together.

Priceless.
Leaves Are Falling All Around
Thursday, October 14, 2010
We are blessed to have beautiful trees all around our home, but for some reason they like to hold onto their leaves for a very love time, so we don't get many leaves on the ground to jump in. So....we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house. They don't have much grass, but they sure have a great leaf producing tree. We took the opportunity to rake and have some fun. Here are some pictures from our good times.

The tree that made it all possible.
Kirtland, Ohio
October 8-9, 2010
I drove to Kirtland, Ohio, with my friend, Sara, to attend the northeast regional Families Supporting Adoption conference. It was a wonderful experience, and I can say that it was where I needed to be at that time. I was able to attend many great classes as well as have one of the best experiences in the Kirtland Temple. I have been blessed to visit the temple before, but this time was different. I was able to attend an LDS meeting in the temple. The spirit was present, more than any other time I had visited. It was wonderful to listen to a speaker remind us of the many wonderful things that occurred there because of faithfulness of the Saints. One thing I am most grateful for that was given there is the power to seal families together eternally. I had an overwhelming feeling as I sat there and reflected upon the gratitude in my heart for that blessing. I am grateful for the early pioneers and all the sacrifices they so willingly made for their belief and for me.

I loved the architecture in this temple window.
A few of the beautiful flowers in the gardens.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Well....it's my birthday, and funny thing (I think a bit on purpose)...I don't have a single picture of me. :) It was a wonderful, uneventful day, filled with time with family and a visit from good friends. I must admit that I don't mind growing older. I feel very blessed in my life and enjoy being me.

My little one baked me a cake. She loves helping in the kitchen.
Lindsey did all the decorating herself...well...I helped a little with the icing. I wasn't up for all the potential mess. :)
General Conference Tradition
October 2-3. 2010
As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we participate in two meetings per year via satellite from Salt Lake City, Utah. The meetings are held in two two-hour increments, on both Saturday and Sunday. It has become a tradition for us (and Jeremy's Dad) to go to Mom and Dad's house to share in their company and good food. There is a two hour break in between each session....below is a picture of Lindsey and Mom looking through the scrapbook Mom is making for Lindsey. She likes to look at it often. We appreciate living close to Grandma and Grandpa and love that we can share in this tradition with them.
