First Sleep Over
So Lindsey is having her first sleep over tonight at Grandma and Grandpa's. I must admit that our house feels a little weird. She was so excited that she couldn't stand it. It's almost 11 p.m. and no calls yet. I think she'll make it the whole night...she was really excited. I even tried to convince her to wait until Friday night, but that didn't go over well. She packed lightly...purple blanket, stuffed cat (Smokie), toothbrush, toothpaste and extra pjs ("just in case").

Little Girls Can Do Big Things Too!
This evening we heard, "little girls can do big things too". This was said after...
Lindsey carried in a piece of wood and
then got to push down the handle on the stove.
(Notice she is even wearing one of the fire gloves.)
I couldn't resist taking a picture of the soot on the face...
I didn't even ask for the pose, it was a freebie.
She seems to be growing up a lot lately. Which causes me to be torn...I want her to grow, but I just love my "little" girl. Oh well. I'll survive just like every other mother. I love being a mom!
Once There Was a Snowman
Although we've had snow recently, it just wasn't the snowman kind of snow (sniff, sniff). So today we decided to make a snowman inside. Here is Lindsey's creation.
Hanging Out with Friends
I have been watching 3 kids of a friend on Monday and Wednesday mornings. This is a time that Lindsey gets very excited about (that's putting it mildly). On these mornings she jumps out of bed and says (with great excitement), "are Libby and Ben and Molly here yet?" The girls have been very energetic this week because of being apart over Christmas break. Well, this morning Ben wanted to watch a movie, but the girls were too busy and weren't interested (and Molly was sleeping). Everything got quiet so I had to go investigate and I found this...
Ben is such a good sport with the girls. He plays well with them and whenever we read a story or watch a movie they like to sit close like this. I think the girls feel more secure. They're funny to watch.

Winter Sunrise
This morning I saw a beautiful sunrise. The sun was a brilliant orange color and I just couldn't resist.

Shredding the Powder!
We got more snow today and had to get out and play in it. Unfortunately it's not the packable kind...so no snowman, but we sure had a great time sledding.

Me doing a belly-whopper!
(Unfortunately the camera battery died right after this picture.
Lindsey & Jeremy also did belly-whoppers.)
We don't expect the snow to melt quickly so we hope to go out again tomorrow. It was pretty windy so we couldn't stay out long, but we sure had a great time. I hope to get pictures of the other belly-whoppers too.
