The beginning of October brings birthdays in our family. Amanda's is on the 2nd and mine follows shortly on the 4th. We traditionally get together and celebrate both together as a family. This year we had a cookout at our home. I cooked 2 pork roasts (we made pulled pork) all afternoon on our fun campfire set.
Josh, Jeremy, Dad and Amanda by the fire on a chilly, windy night.
Jeremy made a non-traditional pineapple upside cake on the fire while we were eating. It was absolutely beautfiul and tasted great!
This picture has the funniest story to go with it...Jeremy's dad brought a red glow stick for Maddie and Lindsey to play with. (It's important to know he also brought his red laser pointer.) When the girls were playing with the glow stick he would shoot the laser pointer in the same direction. They honestly thought they were making the red dot on things. It was hilarious to watch them get so excited over that dot...then get so confused when it would just vanish. We all had a great laugh from this one. Little kids are just so cute.
